At North Arkansas Dental Group we offer Orthodontics for all ages.
Our braces are customized for each individual patient, as opposed to the typical "stock" braces. In this way we can straighten teeth more efficiently, while also obtaining optimal results. There are several different types of braces. Clear Aligners, Traditional Braces, and Ceramic Braces.
Clear Aligners
Our office is a Preferred Provider for ClearCorrect aligners which are clear plastic aligners that are removable. The aligners are almost invisible and are replaced every three weeks. Unlike traditional braces, ClearCorrect aligners can be taken out when eating and drinking, so you can still enjoy all your favorite foods. Clear aligners will not work for serious dental problems. Clear aligners are only available for adults and teens not children.
Traditional Braces
Traditional braces are Silver-colored metal braces that are the most common type of dental braces used in orthodontics. Our office uses brackets that are designed specifically for each individual patient to maximize efficiency. The brackets are attached to the front of your teeth and are connected to each other through the use of a metal wire and bands. As we adjust the wire, the braces guide your teeth to their ideal positions in your smile. Treatment times can range from 1 to 3 years depending on the severity of case and patient cooperation.
Ceramic Braces
Ceramic brackets are the same size and shape as metal brackets, except that they are a clear or tooth color. The ceramic braces work the same as the traditional braces. They do cost slightly more than the traditional braces, but they are also less noticeable for the time you wear them.
